Are boards becoming too trigger happy?
The cosy relationship between the chief executive and
his handpicked board of cronies traditionally all but
guaranteed the boss a job for life. An increase in turnover
would seem to be prima facie evidence of an improvement
in corporate governance in the post-Enron era.
